Aetna's rates are normally the same as Unicare, but you compromise a little on benefits that are not covered. You can apply through us with Aetna via their fax application. Aetna's underwriting process normally takes 5-7 days provided you don't have any major health conditions.

Aetna is new to the individual market in Texas, prior to 2005, they concentrated primarily on the group. We are very excited to represent Aetna because they have a unique way of rating their plans. Unlike most carriers who waiver certain conditions, Aetna rates the plan according to your conditions. You can be declined, but there are many customers who are declined with other carriers that Aetna approves. They just pay extra for their health condition that is covered.
